Make sure you are following us on Facebook. We are running some great posts on our Facebook page as the community deals with the COVID-19 outbreak. We are posting fun things to do as a family around your house, we also have some arts & craft suggestions, and we will be showcasing some of our programs with recorded or live interactive videos.
Since 2014 the Huron Community Association located within the City of Kitchener continues to offer programs and events to help build a sense of community within our part of the City. Our community is a great place to explore with many nature trails, parks and history. We welcome you to our website and hope to see you at an official HCA event in the near future. Our community is one of the fastest growing areas in the City of Kitchener, and like our community we are growing too, with more programs, locations and events in 2019 and into the future. Should you be inclined to get more involved in our association please refer to our contact page to get in touch with us. Here on our community home page you can find everything you need to know about upcoming community events, HCA board discussions, and info on what and how to register for our community programs offered at Jean Steckle or Janet Metcalfe Schools.
We are proud of everything we've done and look forward to being able to do so much more for our community in the months and years to come. Our community programming attendance is near the top of all City of Kitchener Community Centres, and we thank you all for supporting our programs and reaching out to us and telling us what you would like to see in the future. The future looks bright as we look ahead to being a part of the new Community Centre build on Tartan Avenue. HCA members are actively involved working with the City staff to ensure the new space has everything we could want in a brand new community space!
Our Community is home to some amazing places to visit. We have the Huron Natural area, Parkvale Park, Sophia Park and so much more. We're proud to show support for our environment with our new Bee Pollinator gardens that will be coming soon to spaces around our community. Running an awesome community association can be hard work, and we thank our dedicated team of volunteers for all they do. We could always use a few more helping hands at our events. If this is of interest to you please contact us using the button at the top of this page.

FUTURE COMMUNITY PROGRAMMING
Our team of volunteers continues to work with the City of Kitchener and community groups on a return to community programming. We are always reading and watching communications from the City and Region and are insuring that our ideas for summer/fall programming take into account the best practices that these partners are sharing with us. Please feel free to contact us with questions, concerns or ideas. You can use the contact button located on the ribbon bar on our website, or also reach us on our Community Facebook page.
